Azerbaijan Becomes Türkiye’s Top Pipeline Gas Supplier in June 2026

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan ranked first among the countries supplying natural gas to Türkiye through pipelines in June 2026, according to data compiled from Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Official figures showed that Türkiye imported approximately 1.01 billion cubic meters (bcm) of pipeline natural gas from Azerbaijan during the month.
Iran ranked second among pipeline gas suppliers, providing around 883 million cubic meters (mcm), while Russia was the third-largest supplier with approximately 882 mcm.
Overall, Türkiye’s pipeline natural gas imports amounted to about 2.78 bcm in June, while liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports reached approximately 282 million cubic meters.
The figures underscore Azerbaijan’s growing role as a key natural gas supplier to Türkiye and highlight the importance of bilateral energy cooperation in supporting Türkiye’s energy security and diversifying its gas supply sources.
