President of Turkmenistan Congratulates South Korean President on Liberation Day

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended congratulations and best wishes to President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung on the occasion of South Korea’s Liberation Day, Turkmen state media reported Saturday.

In his message, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the high level of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea.

The Turkmen president expressed confidence that continued joint efforts would contribute to further strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation in the interests of the two countries and their peoples.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished President Lee Jae Myung good health, happiness and well-being, while extending wishes for peace, continued development and prosperity to the people of the Republic of Korea.

South Korea observes Liberation Day, known as Gwangbokjeol, on August 15 each year, commemorating the country’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule on August 15, 1945. The day was officially designated a national holiday in 1949.
