Azerbaijan Completes Another Russian Wheat Transit Shipment to Armenia

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan has completed another transit shipment of Russian wheat to Armenia, underscoring its continued role in facilitating regional trade and transport.

According to official information, a consignment of 770 tonnes of wheat, transported in 11 railway wagons, was dispatched on Sunday from Bilajari Station to Boyuk Kesik as part of the transit route linking Russia and Armenia through Azerbaijan.

With the latest shipment, the total volume of goods transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan has exceeded 34,000 tonnes of grain. In addition, nearly 8,000 tonnes of fertiliser, 133 tonnes of aluminium, 68 tonnes of buckwheat, and 414 tonnes of anthracite have been delivered through the transit corridor.

Azerbaijan has also continued supplying fuel products to Armenia. According to the latest figures, the country has exported more than 14,000 tonnes of diesel fuel and nearly 5,000 tonnes of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.

The ongoing movement of agricultural commodities, industrial materials, and fuel products highlights Azerbaijan’s strategic role as a regional transit hub and its contribution to facilitating cross-border trade in the South Caucasus.
