Azerbaijan Economic Council Reviews 2027 State Budget and Economic Forecasts

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Ali Asadov chaired a meeting of Azerbaijan’s Economic Council to review preparations for the 2027 state budget and updated economic forecasts for the coming years.

The meeting focused on the current economic situation and revised macroeconomic forecasts for 2026–2030. Participants reviewed projections for the state and consolidated budgets for 2026, indicators for the consolidated budget for the subsequent three years, and the main objectives and priorities of budget policy for 2027–2030.

The agenda also included discussions on the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, the current condition and policy priorities of the financial and banking sector, as well as other issues related to economic and fiscal planning.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev and Central Bank Governor Taleh Kazimov presented reports on the agenda items.

Members of the Economic Council held detailed discussions on the reports and exchanged views on the proposed economic and budgetary measures.

At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant government bodies were instructed to submit all documents and information forming part of the 2027 state budget package to the Cabinet of Ministers, taking into account the views and proposals put forward by members of the Economic Council.
