Baku, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on May 1 to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the call, the two sides reviewed the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, alongside an exchange of views on the evolving regional situation.

Araghchi briefed his Azerbaijani counterpart on Iran’s recent peace initiatives and outlined Tehran’s position regarding ongoing efforts to resolve regional conflicts. He emphasized the importance of diplomatic engagement and constructive dialogue in addressing current challenges.

Both ministers underscored the need to continue efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, and security across the region, while highlighting the importance of reducing tensions through coordinated approaches.

The conversation also included discussions on a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to sustained diplomatic cooperation.
