Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inaugurated in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan and Pakistan have achieved another significant milestone in their bilateral relations with the inauguration of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad on Wednesday. This initiative aims to enhance investment and business activities between the two countries.

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, along with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Khazar Farhadov, attended the ceremony as Chief Guests.

In his speech, Ambassador Khazar Farhadov expressed his deep fraternal sentiments, emphasizing the ongoing steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation. He voiced confidence that the newly established Chamber would further expand the existing $2 billion trade volume between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

Addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan underscored the significance of the occasion for both nations, particularly for the business community. He highlighted that the Chamber would serve as a single platform to address investment matters and reinforce economic cooperation.

Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized that sustainable development is dependent on strategic partnerships and cooperation. He noted that limitless opportunities lie ahead, ushering in a new era of trade and innovation. He assured Azerbaijan’s business community of Pakistan’s full support and emphasized the Chamber’s role in boosting Pakistani exports and facilitating trade initiatives.

The Federal Minister also extended his congratulations to Ambassador Khazar Farhadov and his team for their efforts in realizing this achievement. He expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to strengthen in the future.

President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Atif Ikram Sheikh, and Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, also addressed the event. They welcomed the establishment of the Chamber, highlighting its role in promoting Pakistani products in Central Asian markets and attracting business delegations to Pakistan.

The Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to play a pivotal role in fostering economic cooperation, boosting trade, and creating new investment opportunities for businesses from both nations.
