Azerbaijan’s NOC Representatives Attend EOC Session in Frankfurt

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A high-level delegation from Azerbaijan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC) is participating in the 54th session of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in Frankfurt, Germany, according to official reports.

The Azerbaijani delegation includes NOC Vice-President Chingiz Huseynzade, Secretary General Azer Aliyev, and International Relations Director Anar Baghirov. They will engage in discussions on key developments in the European Olympic movement alongside representatives from other national committees.

The session is being attended by prominent figures, including Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC); Spyros Capralos, President of the EOC; and Thomas Weikert, President of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

The General Assembly will focus on major upcoming sporting events, particularly the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Istanbul 2027 European Games. Delegates will review preparations for these events and discuss strategies for enhancing European sports development.

Azerbaijan continues to play an active role in the international Olympic movement, with its representatives contributing to discussions on the future of European and global sports.
