China launches terrestrial ecosystem carbon monitoring satellite
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: China has launched terrestrial ecosystem carbon monitoring satellite and two other satellites into the planned orbit from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China’s Shanxi Province on Thursday.
The satellites were sent into orbit atop a Long March-4B Y40 carrier rocket.
The carbon monitoring satellite is used for monitoring terrestrial ecosystem, ecology and resources, evaluation of national major ecological projects, as well as providing services for mapping,meteorology, environment protection and agriculture.
This is the 430th mission of China’s Long March carrier rocket series.
