Rybakina, who had been battling lower back pain throughout the match, faced a challenging start in the first set. She took a medical timeout to address the issue, but returned to the court and confidently secured the set 6-3.
Before the second set, Rybakina once again required medical assistance, but despite the discomfort, she continued to play with determination. She went on to win the second set 6-4, securing her place in the next round.
Throughout the match, Rybakina displayed solid serving performance, hitting two aces compared to Yastremska’s five. Both players committed an equal number of double faults, but Rybakina showed her resilience by converting three out of 11 breakpoints.
