Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attends Central Asia-Germany Summit

Berlin, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, as part of working visit to Berlin, attended the meeting of heads of delegations in the format of Central Asia-Germany on Friday, the official Turkmen media reports.

The meeting held in the format of working breakfast and chaired by Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier was also attended by President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During his speech at the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed Turkmenistan’s support for the initiative to establish a new multilateral framework and expressed readiness to enhance partnership in various areas of mutual interest.

Touching upon the matters of economic development, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, first of all, noted the global interconnectedness of this process, adding that in today’s world economic system, it is not only about integrating the economies of various countries, but also ensuring the harmonious functioning of its multiple components. These components encompass traditional sectors like energy, transportation, and finance, as well as modern fields such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and green technologies, according to the report.

The high-level meeting also included an exchange of views on the development of cooperation in the environmental and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
