Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Meets Macron in Paris

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, held a high-level meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Monday, according to a statement shared on the French President’s official social media platforms.
The meeting marked a significant step forward in Turkmen-French relations, culminating in the signing of several agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation across strategic sectors, including energy transition, infrastructure development, education, and cultural exchange.
Among the key outcomes was the signing of a framework agreement between Turkmenistan and the Thales Alenia Space Group for the delivery of a second telecommunications satellite. This deal is expected to bolster Turkmenistan’s communications capabilities and reflects growing collaboration in the field of advanced technology.
The two leaders also agreed to strengthen joint efforts in sustainable urban development and to prepare a comprehensive roadmap to promote academic and educational exchanges. Additionally, they pledged to expand a joint archaeological mission currently operating in Turkmenistan, further cementing cultural and scientific ties.
Earlier in the day, Berdimuhamedov participated in an exhibition held within the framework of the Turkmen-French Economic Forum. The event highlighted trade and investment opportunities between the two countries and underscored the importance of economic diplomacy in shaping future cooperation.
The visit signifies a mutual commitment to deepening strategic engagement and reflects the shared interests of Turkmenistan and France in fostering long-term partnerships.
