Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Lead Turkmen Delegation to Kazan International Forums
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, will lead a high-level delegation to Kazan, Russia, to participate in a series of international forums and exhibitions, according to Turkmen state media.
Preparations for the visit were presented during a government meeting on Friday by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
The forthcoming visit is aimed at further strengthening strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia, officials said.
A number of major international events are scheduled to take place in Kazan during the visit, including the annual Russia–Islamic World KazanForum. The programme also features exhibitions and conferences such as “Russia and the Islamic World EXPO,” the International Property Market, the Kazan Halal Market trade fair, and the Modest Fashion Day festival.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underscored the importance of ensuring strong and high-level participation by the Turkmen delegation in the events scheduled for May 13–14, directing Foreign Minister Meredov to oversee all preparatory arrangements.
The Cabinet meeting also reviewed Turkmenistan’s performance over the first four months of the year and discussed key state matters, adopting relevant decisions aimed at advancing national development priorities.
