Humaid Abu Shabas Leads UAE Delegation at GCC Anti-Corruption Ministerial Meeting in Doha
Doha, The Gulf Observer: Humaid Abu Shabas, President of the Supreme Audit Institution, headed the UAE delegation at the 10th meeting of the Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, held today in Doha, Qatar.
The high-level meeting brought together heads of anti-corruption bodies from across the GCC to discuss various strategies and initiatives aimed at strengthening integrity and combating corruption within the region. Key topics included reviewing the progress of ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and accountability within member states.
During the session, the committee assessed the work of specialist committees, which have developed programmes, projects, and guiding frameworks designed to combat corruption. These efforts have been instrumental in promoting good governance and integrity across all sectors in the GCC countries.
The meeting highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in ensuring robust anti-corruption mechanisms and reaffirmed the GCC’s commitment to upholding transparency and accountability as part of its broader governance initiatives.
