Iran FM Araghchi Condemns Israeli Minister’s Remarks, Warns of Threat to Regional Stability

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Friday strongly condemned recent remarks by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, describing them as evidence of what he called a dangerous ideology that threatens regional peace and global security.
In a statement posted on his X account, Araghchi criticized comments attributed to Ben-Gvir and said they reflected an approach based on conflict rather than diplomacy.
“This is not a rant by a random genocidal lunatic. It’s a public post by the national security minister of the Israeli regime,” Araghchi wrote.
The Iranian foreign minister further alleged that the Israeli leadership promotes policies that endanger regional stability and undermine efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.
“The genocidal death cult headquartered in Tel Aviv is a threat to all of humanity. It threatens all humans. Its only interest is permanent war,” Araghchi stated.
His remarks came in response to comments attributed to Ben-Gvir in which the Israeli minister reportedly used highly provocative language regarding Lebanon, including statements suggesting severe retaliation and collective punishment.
According to Araghchi, the Israeli minister’s comments rejected diplomatic solutions and advocated actions that could lead to further violence and instability in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister accused Israeli officials of opposing initiatives that could contribute to peace and security, arguing that such rhetoric risks escalating tensions at a time when regional stability remains a key international concern.
The exchange highlights continuing tensions between Iran and Israel amid ongoing disputes over regional security and the broader situation in the Middle East.
No immediate response from Israeli officials to Araghchi’s latest comments was reported.
