Iranian, Russian Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments on BRICS Sidelines

New Delhi, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held bilateral talks on Thursday on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi to discuss regional and international developments.

During the meeting, the two diplomats reviewed the latest situation in West Asia and exchanged views on broader global developments and international interactions.

Araghchi, who arrived in the Indian capital on Wednesday evening to participate in the two-day BRICS gathering, also held separate bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Malaysia and Brazil prior to his talks with Lavrov.

The BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting, which continues through Friday, has brought together senior diplomats from member states of the BRICS to discuss regional cooperation and key international issues.
