Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: The Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) of the Religious Affairs Ministry will hold the Halal World Forum, which 118 halal institutions from 41 countries are expected to attend, in Jakarta from November 17 to 21, 2023.
“The Halal World Forum is a continuation of the H20 (Halal 20) forum and will be held on November 17–21, 2023, at JIExpo in Jakarta. We have invited 118 halal institutions from 41 countries to attend (the forum),” BPJPH head Aqil Irham informed here on Monday.
He said that the forum is a continuation of the H20 forum held in 2022 during Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.
The Halal World Forum will comprise a number of strategic agendas. First, the International Conference on Global Halal Standards, which will feature experts and foreign halal institutions or halal authorities from various countries.
“Second, an international seminar on halal certification regulations and policies in Indonesia,” he disclosed.
The third agenda will be an exhibition to promote Indonesian halal products to the international community.
The fourth agenda will be a “Halal Tour,” which will seek to introduce the halal industry in Indonesia to global participants, Irham added.
“The fifth agenda that is no less important will be the Halal Coaching Clinic, which is a consulting service for foreign halal institutions to obtain accreditation and recognition of halal standards from BPJPH,” he said.
According to him, the Halal World Forum will seek to shine a spotlight on the importance of building togetherness in global halal standards.
The forum is intended to introduce and promote domestic halal products to the world market, he added.
“We must continue to promote Indonesian halal products to the global market, in line with the acceleration and the increase of halal certification issuance, where the number of halal certificates has increased rapidly in the last two years,” he said.
