Kazakhstan to provide additional financial aid to Pakistan

Astana, The Gulf Observer: During bilateral meetings between K.Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan and Shahbaz. Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, that took place twice in 2022, as well as official visits of Kazakhstan delegations to Islamabad headed by Y. Koshanov, Majilis Chairman of the Republic of Kazakhstan Parliament and S. Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan in December 2022, the parties discussed the current difficult situation in the areas of Pakistan that suffered last summer from a natural disaster – floods.

Following the results of the negotiations, K. Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan instructed the Government of Kazakhstan to provide the Islamic Republic with additional humanitarian assistance.

Earlier, in August 2022, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan sent the first tranche of financial humanitarian assistance to the Government of Pakistan.
