Kazakhstan, Türkiye Forge Strategic Collaboration

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Türkiye, Yerkebulan Sapiyev, and Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, engaged in comprehensive discussions on key issues and plans for the current year in the realms of industry, space, and information technology. The discussions, which included a focus on enhancing investment partnerships, were marked by a commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation in these crucial sectors.

According to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, the talks emphasized the mutual interest of Kazakhstan and Türkiye in fostering collaborative efforts in industry, space exploration, and information technology. The parties exchanged views on leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise to achieve significant milestones in these domains.

Minister Kacır brought attention to the recent spaceflight of the first Turkish astronaut and underscored the importance of expanding cooperation in space programs, both bilaterally and within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. Highlighting that the first Turkic astronaut was of Kazakh origin, the Minister acknowledged Kazakhstan’s rich experience in space exploration.

In response, Ambassador Sapiyev acknowledged Türkiye’s advancements in industrial development and informed the Turkish Minister about the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan, emphasizing the abundance of energy resources and raw materials. The Ambassador extended an invitation to transfer Turkish production enterprises to Kazakhstan, emphasizing the conducive business environment and opportunities for mutual growth.

As a result of the discussions, both parties reached an agreement to further strengthen the partnership in the fields of industry, space exploration, and information technology. This collaborative approach aims to capitalize on the synergies between Kazakhstan’s space exploration expertise and Türkiye’s advancements in industry and technology.
