Leyla Aliyeva Meets Vatican Official to Discuss Cultural Heritage Cooperation

Rome, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, held a meeting with Raffaella Giuliani, Secretary of the Pontifical Commission for Sacred Archaeology, during her visit to Rome, according to AzerNews.

The meeting focused on the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage, as well as prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Holy See in the field of archaeology and cultural heritage.

The discussions were held as Azerbaijan and the Holy See continue to explore opportunities for joint cultural initiatives. Recent activities in Rome have also included programmes highlighting Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and cooperation with Vatican institutions.

The engagement forms part of broader cultural exchanges aimed at strengthening dialogue on the preservation of historical monuments, archaeological heritage and cultural values.
