Macron Praises Morocco’s Education System as Model for Africa at Nairobi Forum

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Emmanuel Macron has described Morocco’s education system as “an extraordinary model” for the African continent, praising the reforms carried out under the leadership of Mohammed VI.
Speaking during the closing session of the “Africa Forward: Inspire & Connect” business forum in Nairobi ahead of the Africa Forward summit, the French president said Morocco had achieved “an incredible revolution” in the education sector.
Macron highlighted Morocco’s performance in primary, secondary and higher education, including notable achievements at France’s prestigious École Polytechnique, calling it an example for African countries to follow.
The French president also announced investments worth 23 billion euros for Africa, stating that the projects would generate more than 250,000 direct jobs in both France and African countries.
He stressed that the futures of Europe and Africa are closely interconnected, emphasizing that Africa requires greater investment rather than reliance on public aid.
The “Africa Forward: Inspire & Connect” forum brought together more than 1,500 business leaders, investors and public officials from Africa, France and several other countries to discuss growth, investment and Africa’s economic transformation.
Aziz Akhannouch attended the closing ceremony of the forum, which included workshops, business-to-business meetings and discussions involving executives from major African and French companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, young entrepreneurs and representatives of the public sector.
