Oman to Enhance Educational Facilities

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: In a collaborative effort to bolster educational facilities within Muscat Governorate, Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, held a strategic meeting with Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education, on Thursday. The meeting, aligned with the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, emphasized purposeful interaction between service unit heads and governors.

The agenda of the meeting encompassed a thorough review of the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) plans and developmental projects across various educational domains within Muscat governorate. A visual presentation provided insights into the ministry’s objectives and key statistics, highlighting its commitment to fostering partnerships between MoE and the governorates.

Integral to the discussions was the significance of digital transformation and the integration of modern technologies into the educational curriculum. The meeting delved into MoE’s policies regarding recruitment and transfer, emphasizing the pivotal role of the ‘Specialist Centre for Professional Training of Teachers’ in enhancing teachers’ performance.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the ministry’s approach to curriculum development, educational evaluation, and the monitoring of student performance levels. Developmental projects within Muscat governorate, aligned with the 10th Five-Year Plan, were reviewed, encompassing improvements in school transportation and aspects of educational expenditure.

The collaborative effort was marked by the attendance of Ahmed bin Mohammed al Humaidi, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, along with walis and officials representing the governorate and MoE. This gathering underscored the shared commitment to advancing the educational sector in Muscat, reflecting a collective dedication to creating an environment conducive to learning.
