Tenth Edition of ‘Arabian Woman Exhibition’ Inaugurated
Doha, The Gulf Observer: Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, esteemed Board Member of the Qatar Chamber and Chairperson of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, ceremoniously opened the much-anticipated tenth edition of the ‘Arabian Woman Exhibition’ on Friday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
The opening ceremony welcomed an elite gathering of businesswomen and entrepreneurs from Qatar and beyond, with the distinguished presence of Tamader Al Marri, the director of Vogue Event Company, the organizing entity behind the exhibition.
Under the auspices of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, the exhibition is scheduled to run until Thursday, February 1. Boasting 240 domestic and foreign booths, the event showcases the innovations and designs of over 200 noteworthy female entrepreneurs from Qatar, along with participants from regional countries, presenting their creations for the winter and autumn of 2024.
Following the opening ceremony, Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani embarked on a tour of the exhibition pavilions, where she gained insights into the latest designs and offerings by Qatari and other designers in the realms of fashion, accessories, and women’s products.
In her statement, Al Ahmadani emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum to supporting local businessmen. She stressed the forum’s dedication to facilitating the promotion of their products and projects, both domestically and internationally, thereby enhancing their contributions to the state’s commercial and economic activities.
Reflecting on the remarkable growth of the ‘Arabian Woman Exhibition,’ Al Ahmadani noted its year-to-year development in terms of exhibitors, exhibition area, and the level of showcased items. The exhibition has become a hallmark event that celebrates innovative designs in fashion, accessories, and women’s requirements.
Tamader Al Marri, the director of Vogue Event Company, highlighted the substantial progress witnessed by the exhibition in recent years, solidifying its status as one of the most significant events in Doha. She emphasized the exhibition’s role in providing a platform for Qatari designers to showcase their new and inventive selections.
Anticipating a heightened level of engagement, Al Marri expressed confidence that the exhibition would attract more visitors than the previous edition, which saw the participation of over 12,000 attendees. She underscored the inclusive nature of the event, featuring distinct brands in Arab fashion and showcasing a wide array of the Qatari woman’s needs, including abayas and women’s supplies.
