Pakistan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Political Unity at International Levels Have Been Legendary: Shehbaz Sharif

Baku, The Gulf Observer: In a joint press conference with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced the imminent finalization of agreements valued at $2 billion between the two nations. The agreements are expected to be signed in Islamabad in April 2025, following discussions and decisions to finalize the details.

“In the month of April, In Sha Allah, once everything is discussed and decided, I’ll be again deeply honored and extremely happy to receive you again in Islamabad in April to ink these agreements valued at $2 billion,” Prime Minister Sharif said, expressing his enthusiasm about the upcoming milestone.

Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the significance of the agreements, calling them “the first quantum jump in our trade and investment relations” and a “huge reflection of our fraternal bonds.” He emphasized that despite the long-standing friendship, political understanding, and collaboration at international forums, the business and trade relations between the two countries had not fully mirrored the strength of their broader ties.

“This will be a landmark achievement in our relations. In Sha Allah, in a month’s time, we will celebrate turning this great decision into action,” Prime Minister Sharif added.

The upcoming agreements mark a new chapter in Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, further strengthening economic cooperation and reinforcing the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
