President Erdoğan Extends New Year Greetings to Turkmen Counterpart

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye extended his heartfelt New Year greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Friday.

In his message, President Erdoğan conveyed his wishes for strong health, prosperity, and continued success to Berdimuhamedov in the coming year.

Leaders from across the globe joined in extending New Year congratulations to the Turkmen leader. President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China Zhao Leji, and Alexander Beglov, Governor of Saint Petersburg, Russia, were among those who sent their best wishes.

Earlier, President Berdimuhamedov received messages from an array of dignitaries, including General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of Myanmar; Asad Majid Khan, Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO); Sultan Raev, Secretary-General of TURKSOY; Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission; and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

Other notable congratulatory messages came from Igor Babushkin, Governor of Russia’s Astrakhan Region; Neda Berger, head of the Austrian-Turkmen Society; and Oleg Storchovoy, Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee.

The wave of international well-wishes underscores Turkmenistan’s active diplomatic engagements and the global recognition of its leadership as the world welcomes the New Year.
