President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Indonesia on Independence Day
Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the people of Indonesia on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, observed on August 17.
In his congratulatory letter, President Aliyev conveyed his own greetings and those of the Azerbaijani people to the Indonesian president and the friendly people of Indonesia, wishing them peace, prosperity and continued progress.
The Azerbaijani president noted that Azerbaijan and Indonesia currently have significant opportunities to further expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the economic, investment and humanitarian fields.
President Aliyev expressed confidence that the two countries would continue strengthening their friendship and cooperation for the benefit and well-being of their peoples.
Concluding his message, the Azerbaijani leader wished President Prabowo good health, happiness and success in his high state office, while extending his wishes for lasting peace and prosperity to the people of Indonesia.
The congratulatory message was signed by President Ilham Aliyev in Baku on August 14, 2026.
