President Ilham Aliyev Showcases Commemorative Gift from U.S. President Trump During Meeting with U.S. Official

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev presented a commemorative gift previously received from U.S. President Donald Trump during a meeting with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Caleb Orr.
The gift consisted of a commemorative copy of a memorandum extending the waiver of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, a measure regarded as significant in the development of U.S.-Azerbaijan relations.
According to information released following the meeting, the document bears the signature of President Trump and includes a warm handwritten message addressed to President Aliyev.
The presentation of the commemorative memorandum took place during discussions between the Azerbaijani leader and the senior U.S. official, reflecting the ongoing dialogue and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States.
The waiver of Section 907 has long been viewed as an important mechanism supporting bilateral engagement, particularly in areas of regional security, economic cooperation and strategic partnership.
