President Mirziyoyev Joins Navruz Festivities in Rohat Mahalla

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Navruz, the traditional spring festival, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. On this auspicious occasion, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Rohat mahalla in the Bektemir district, where he took part in the festive events.

Rohat mahalla, known for its specialization in the service and trade sectors, is home to 4,000 residents. Under the newly implemented employment system, and with the active support of banking institutions, the mahalla has effectively utilized its internal resources. Over the past year, nearly 100 residents have secured jobs, 256 have embraced self-employment, and 13 have successfully launched their businesses. Additionally, two manufacturing enterprises and multiple trade and service outlets have been established, significantly enhancing convenience for the local community. During his visit, the Head of State inspected the operations of these enterprises.

The mahalla stands out with its well-maintained streets, tidy homes, and essential public facilities, including educational and medical institutions, sports complexes, training centers, an amphitheater, and a handicraft and library information center. The senior citizens’ center has become a focal point of vibrant activity during the celebrations.

President Mirziyoyev actively participated in the Sumalak celebration, warmly engaging with mahalla residents and senior community members. During the discussions, he outlined the nation’s key priorities for the current year, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability, fostering entrepreneurship, and generating employment opportunities.

“I am pleased to see your mahalla so well-maintained and the people in high spirits. We are committed to expanding opportunities across all districts. The most important aspect is to ensure peace and unity. We recall the challenges of the past, particularly at our borders, and address them with political will and strategic planning. With local-level organization, we now have a comprehensive understanding of the situation in 10,000 mahallas. Through the ‘Mahalla of Seven’ system, assistance is efficiently delivered to every household. There is still much to be done in increasing incomes, reducing poverty, and advancing youth policy. This is why we are prioritizing education, especially for girls. A society where young people are well-educated and spiritually enriched is bound to achieve prosperity,” President Mirziyoyev stated.

In Rohat mahalla, young residents have access to quality education through a general education school, a children’s music and art school, the “Barkamol Avlod” center, and an academic lyceum. The recent completion of a new preschool has further expanded opportunities for early childhood development, marking another step towards enhancing the overall educational landscape in the mahalla.
