President Prabowo Subianto Encourages Collaboration to Advance Indonesian Football

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto has called for enhanced cooperation with football clubs and private entities as part of the government’s commitment to advancing football in Indonesia. The statement was made during the inauguration of 17 stadiums across various regions on Monday, as reported by the official Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) website on Tuesday.
President Prabowo emphasized the importance of collaboration for the development and management of sports infrastructure, urging partnerships between the government, football clubs, and private parties to ensure optimal outcomes.
“I believe that the success of these 17 stadiums will also ignite the will to do more. The government targets the construction of 20 new stadiums over the next two to three years,” he remarked.
He expressed hope that football clubs and private parties would take an active role in managing the stadiums, ensuring the facilities are maximized for the advancement of national football. He further assured that the construction of stadiums would not cease with these newly inaugurated venues, as additional projects are planned for the next few years.
“Every region should have a good stadium,” President Prabowo stressed, reiterating the government’s dedication to supporting and promoting football through various policies and infrastructure initiatives.
He concluded by emphasizing that a nation’s success in football is not measured by wealth but by determination and spirit, calling on all stakeholders to work collectively in realizing Indonesia’s football aspirations.
