President of Turkmenistan Extends Condolences on the Passing of Pope Francis

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended his heartfelt condolences to His Eminence Cardinal Kevin Joseph Farrell, Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, following the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. The message of condolence was conveyed through Turkmenistan’s official media on Monday.
In his message, President Berdimuhamedov expressed profound sorrow and paid tribute to the legacy of Pope Francis, acknowledging his exceptional contributions to promoting interfaith dialogue and strengthening global peace and harmony.
“The significant contributions of Pope Francis in fostering goodwill among religions and strengthening peace, harmony, and unity around the world will forever remain in the memory of all nations,” the President stated.
President Berdimuhamedov also extended his sincere sympathy and words of support to the global Catholic community during this time of mourning.
Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on December 17, 1936, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to a family of Italian immigrants, was elected as the 266th pope of the Roman Catholic Church in March 2013. He was the first Jesuit pope and the first pontiff from the Americas, marking a historic shift in the Church’s leadership. His papacy was distinguished by a focus on humility, social justice, and outreach to the marginalized.
The passing of Pope Francis marks the end of an era defined by compassion, reform, and tireless efforts to bridge divides across cultures and faiths.
