President Rahmon Approves Key Government and Military Appointments

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Thursday approved a series of кадровые (personnel) appointments across government ministries, state agencies, and the country’s security and defense institutions as part of efforts to strengthen public administration and national security.
Under presidential decrees, experienced officers were appointed to senior leadership positions within several units of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.
By decisions of the Government of Tajikistan, deputy ministers responsible for digitalization and modern technologies were appointed in the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the Food Security Committee, and the Enforcement Service under the Government, reflecting the country’s continued emphasis on technological modernization and digital transformation.
The President also approved new appointments within the Ministry of Defence, where a number of department heads and commanders of military units were selected from among young specialists who have graduated from two or more higher military educational institutions in Tajikistan and abroad.
Following an assessment of the performance of military commissariats, and with the approval of the President, military commissioners in several districts and cities across the Sughd and Khatlon regions, the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, as well as the Districts of Republican Subordination, were replaced with experienced military professionals.
The кадровые changes also extended to the leadership of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security. New appointments were made to senior positions, including the head of the Border Troops Directorate in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, commanders of several border detachments, and officials within the central administration, with appointments drawn from highly qualified personnel possessing extensive professional and leadership experience.
During a meeting with the newly appointed officials, President Rahmon stressed that the country’s security, stability, development and the improvement of citizens’ living standards depend on the dedicated and conscientious service of every civil servant and member of the armed forces.
The President noted that, given the increasingly unstable and unpredictable international security environment, the Government of Tajikistan continues to take timely measures to improve working and service conditions for military personnel and to ensure that the Armed Forces are adequately equipped with the necessary resources.
Concluding the meeting, President Rahmon instructed the newly appointed officials to strengthen discipline, ensure strict compliance with military regulations and professional standards, and implement effective measures to enhance the constant combat readiness of the Armed Forces and other military and special units of the country.
