President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Visit Malaysia for Official Talks on February 4-5, 2025

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will undertake an official visit to Malaysia on February 4-5.

During his stay in Kuala Lumpur, President Mirziyoyev will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, meet with executives of leading Malaysian companies, and participate in a joint business forum and other official events.

The upcoming high-level discussions will center on strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, innovation, technological collaboration, petrochemicals, electronics, green energy, smart agriculture, and tourism.

Special emphasis will be placed on boosting cultural and humanitarian exchanges. The leaders will also address pressing international political issues and regional cooperation.

Following the summit, a Joint Statement is expected to be issued, along with a comprehensive package of agreements aimed at reinforcing the bilateral partnership between the two nations.

Ahead of the visit, a series of key events are being held in Malaysia, including a meeting of leading analytical and research institutions. Additionally, Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, cultural heritage, and a forum of rectors from top universities in both countries will be highlighted in the coming days.
