President Tokayev Congratulates Azerbaijan on Independence Day, Emphasizes Strategic Partnership

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan has extended warm congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country’s national holiday – Independence Day, according to official media reports.

In a congratulatory message sent to President Aliyev, President Tokayev expressed appreciation for the enduring and dynamic ties between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. “I am grateful that Kazakhstani-Azerbaijani relations, built on centuries-long friendship, continue to evolve dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance,” Tokayev noted.

The Kazakh leader conveyed his strong belief in the continued advancement of bilateral cooperation, stating, “By joining forces, our nations will build on the achievements we have made and take the multifaceted interstate cooperation to new heights.”

President Tokayev also extended his best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev for continued success in his high office and expressed his hopes for the well-being and prosperity of the fraternal people of Azerbaijan.

The message reaffirms the close political, economic, and cultural relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, which share deep historical and regional ties.

In a separate development, it was earlier reported that President Tokayev received Xi Guohua, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CITIC Group Corporation, as part of efforts to strengthen Kazakhstan’s economic partnerships with global financial and industrial institutions.
