President Tokayev Welcomes Turkish President Erdoğan on State Visit to Kazakhstan

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kassym-Jomart Tokayev formally welcomed Recep Tayyip Erdoğan upon his arrival in Kazakhstan for a state visit, according to the Akorda presidential press service.
As President Erdoğan’s aircraft entered Kazakh airspace, it was escorted by fighter jets of the Kazakhstan Air Defense Forces, which accompanied the plane until its landing in Astana in a display of official honor and friendship between the two nations.
A ceremonial honor guard was assembled at the airport to receive the Turkish leader and his delegation. Children waving the national flags of both countries greeted President Erdoğan in Turkish and Kazakh, underscoring the close cultural and diplomatic ties between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.
Adding to the ceremonial reception, helicopters carrying the flags of Kazakhstan and Türkiye flew over the runway during the welcoming event. Young musicians also performed a traditional Dombra composition inside the airport terminal in honor of the visiting Turkish president.
The state visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye across political, economic, cultural and regional areas of mutual interest.
