Qatar Pledges $100 Million to Support Gaza and UNRWA

New York, The Gulf Observer: The State of Qatar participated in the Ministerial Meeting for Key Partners in Support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), held on the sidelines of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York.
Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Minister of State for International Cooperation, represented Qatar at the high-level meeting. During her address, H.E. Al Khater announced Qatar’s pledge of $100 million as part of its continued response to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, with a particular focus on supporting UNRWA’s efforts.
Her Excellency stressed the importance of a unified international stance in backing UNRWA, which plays a crucial role in providing humanitarian assistance in Gaza, especially amidst the ongoing challenges posed by systematic measures from the Israeli government.
Qatar’s renewed commitment underscores its dedication to alleviating the suffering of Palestinian refugees and supporting critical humanitarian efforts in the region.
