Saudi

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati signed an executive program for cultural cooperation between Saudi Arabia and France during a meeting on Thursday at the Palace of Versailles.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the “Masterpieces of the Saudi Orchestra” concert and focused on enhancing bilateral ties across a wide range of cultural sectors, including music, film, heritage, museums, fashion, libraries, theater, performing arts, and visual arts.

A key initiative under the agreement involves activating the executive program between the Saudi Film Commission and France’s National Center for Cinema and the Moving Image. This program aims to advance education and training in filmmaking and foster closer collaboration between the two nations’ film industries.

During the discussions, the ministers also reviewed executive programs signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Saudi Arabia in December 2024, which are designed to promote international cultural exchange and further strengthen the growing partnership between Riyadh and Paris.
