Saudi Foreign Minister Reaffirms Kingdom’s Commitment to International Peace and Cooperation

New York, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to engaging with the international community and supporting efforts to promote international peace and security through its participation in the United Nations.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Faisal said the Kingdom’s participation in the high-level week of the UN General Assembly reflects its continued efforts to advance dialogue and mediation and contribute to addressing common global challenges.

He said the current session, held under the theme “Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development and Human Rights,” provides an opportunity to reaffirm the principles underpinning the United Nations and other international institutions.

The Saudi Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening international law and multilateral cooperation while working collectively to address global crises.

Against the backdrop of ongoing regional developments, Prince Faisal stressed the need to uphold international law, respect the sovereignty of states, pursue peaceful means for resolving disputes, and ensure the safety and freedom of navigation in international waterways.

He further noted that Saudi Arabia’s participation in the UN General Assembly will focus on sustainable development and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

According to Prince Faisal, AI can contribute to improving efficiency across various sectors, supporting innovation and advancing development, while international efforts toward effective AI governance remain important.
