Scientific-Practical Conference “The Noble Legacy of Heroes Lives Forever” Held in Bokhtar

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: A scientific-practical conference titled “The Noble Legacy of Heroes Lives Forever” was held in the city of Bokhtar on June 5. The event was organized at the initiative of the Executive Committees of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) in Bokhtar and Khatlon Province, the PDPT Executive Committee in Khatlon reported to Khovar News Agency.
The conference brought together representatives of the PDPT Executive Committee in Khatlon Province, scholars and academics, party veterans, prominent writers of the region, and other public figures.
Participants emphasized that the Heroes of Tajikistan, through their selfless service, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the protection of the state and nation, have secured an honored place in the country’s history. Preserving and honoring their memory, speakers noted, serves as an important lesson in patriotism, national identity, and respect for national values for both present and future generations.
Chairman of the PDPT Executive Committee in Khatlon Province, Jamshid Saidzoda, stated that the initiative to bring home a portion of the soil from the graves of prominent national figures — Nusratullo Makhsum, Shirinsho Shotemur, and Nisor Muhammad — from Moscow, Russian Federation, reflects the statesmanship, historical awareness, and deep respect for the devoted service of these national leaders demonstrated by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
According to Saidzoda, the initiative represents a profound lesson in patriotism for the people of Tajikistan and further strengthens feelings of national pride, love for the homeland, and respect for the country’s heroes among citizens.
During the conference, Davlatsho Mahmudov, a lecturer at the Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Ayni, spoke about the lives and contributions of Heroes of Tajikistan Nusratullo Makhsum and Shirinsho Shotemur, as well as the Tajik educator Nisor Muhammad. He described President Emomali Rahmon’s initiative as timely and highly significant from a historical perspective.
Other speakers and participants also highlighted the importance of preserving the memory, achievements, and legacy of the nation’s distinguished figures. They noted that reaffirming national identity and recognizing the contributions of great historical personalities are essential in the modern era. They further emphasized that, during the years of State Independence, Tajikistan has witnessed positive and encouraging progress in this regard.
Participants concluded that society, particularly young people, should appreciate these efforts and contribute through their own constructive actions to the continued development and prosperity of independent Tajikistan.
