Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni discussed bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries during a telephone conversation on Sunday.

The two leaders reviewed opportunities to expand cooperation, particularly in the economic and development sectors, with a view to advancing their shared interests and promoting mutual growth and prosperity.

During the call, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prime Minister Meloni reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening joint efforts under the strategic partnership between the UAE and Italy.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, with particular focus on developments in the Middle East.

They reviewed ongoing efforts aimed at reinforcing security and stability in the region and beyond, underscoring the importance of continued cooperation in support of the interests and well-being of the peoples of the region.

The discussions reaffirmed the UAE and Italy’s commitment to deepening their strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
