Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the latest developments in the region and the rapidly escalating situation.
According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional crisis and reviewed ongoing regional and international efforts aimed at containing the situation. They emphasized the importance of coordinated diplomatic initiatives to help safeguard regional security and stability.
The discussions also underscored the need to ensure the safety and freedom of navigation in accordance with the provisions of international law, reflecting the shared commitment of Oman and France to maintaining peace, stability, and secure maritime routes amid heightened regional tensions.
The telephone call highlighted the continued coordination between Muscat and Paris on key regional and international issues of mutual concern.
