Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, exchanged orders and commemorative gifts at Al Alam Palace on Tuesday evening on the occasion of the Jordanian monarch’s visit to Oman.

His Majesty the Sultan of Oman conferred on King Abdullah II “Oman Civil Order—First Class”, one of Oman’s loftiest accolades, as a manifestation of His Majesty the Sultan’s esteem for King Abdullah II and in appreciation for the strong ties binding the two countries.

Meanwhile, King Abdullah II awarded His Majesty the Sultan the Supreme Order of the Renaissance, one of the greatest knighthoods of Jordan, in demonstration of the monarch’s admiration for His Majesty the Sultan and in appreciation for the sincere ties of friendship between the two countries.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan presented a coveted Omani dagger as a commemorative gift to King Abdullah II, who reciprocated the gesture presenting His Majesty the Sultan with“Aal Al-Bayt Holy Quran”.

The orders and commemorative gifts’ exchange ceremony was attended by Her Highness the Honorable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, and Queen Rania Al Abdullah.

The ceremony was also attended by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, and Prince Al Hussein Ibn Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan.
