Tajikistan Hosts Scientific Conference Highlighting UN International Decade of Peace Initiative

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: A scientific conference titled “International Decade of Peace for Future Generations – Tajikistan’s Historic Initiative for the Future of Humanity” was held at the State Educational Institution, Statistics College of Vahdat City, highlighting Tajikistan’s global peace initiatives and commitment to international cooperation.

Speaking at the event, Director of the Statistics College of Vahdat City, Islombek Zoirzoda, said Tajikistan’s latest international initiative represents a logical continuation of the country’s peace-oriented and humanitarian foreign policy and marks another significant step toward strengthening global peace and stability.

He noted that under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan has earned international recognition as a proactive nation committed to addressing global challenges through dialogue and cooperation.

Participants emphasized the historic significance of the adoption of the United Nations resolution proclaiming the International Decade of Peace for Future Generations, describing it as an important milestone that will help promote a culture of peace, mutual understanding, and stronger cooperation among nations.

During the conference, scholars and participants presented research papers on the role of peace and national unity in state development, the importance of Tajikistan’s international initiatives, and the contribution of young people to preserving the values of peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding.

Speakers underlined that peace and stability remain among humanity’s most fundamental values and said Tajikistan’s initiative to establish the International Decade of Peace for Future Generations could make a meaningful contribution to strengthening global cooperation and building a more sustainable future.

Following the conference, faculty members and staff of the Statistics College of Vahdat City organized a peaceful march in support of the peace-oriented policies of President Emomali Rahmon.

Participants in the march carried banners and placards expressing support for Tajikistan’s constructive international initiatives aimed at promoting global peace, stability, and international solidarity.
