Tajikistan, TIKA Strengthen Partnership on Financial Sector Modernisation

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan’s Minister of Finance, Faiziddin Kahhorzoda, held talks with the newly appointed Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Tajikistan, Kadir Furkan Odabasi, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the financial sector and institutional development.
According to Tajikistan’s Ministry of Finance, the meeting focused on enhancing institutional collaboration, advancing the digitalisation of the country’s financial sector, and developing a comprehensive Roadmap for Cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and TIKA.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to attract technical assistance and organise professional development and capacity-building programmes for financial sector specialists, drawing on Türkiye’s advanced expertise and best practices.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening their partnership in priority areas of shared interest, with the aim of supporting Tajikistan’s ongoing financial reforms and institutional modernisation.
The meeting reflects the continued development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Türkiye in promoting sustainable economic development, knowledge exchange, and enhanced institutional capacity.
