Turkmen President Congratulates Children on International Children’s Day

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan extended warm congratulations to the people of Turkmenistan and the nation’s children on the occasion of International Children’s Day, emphasizing the country’s continued commitment to safeguarding children’s rights and ensuring their well-being.

In a message released by official media on Monday, the President conveyed his best wishes for good health, happiness, and a bright future for all children. He noted that International Children’s Day promotes the values of friendship, peace, and humanism while uniting the international community in efforts to guarantee every child’s right to a peaceful, safe, and happy life.

President Berdimuhamedov underscored that Turkmenistan remains firmly committed to international principles concerning the protection of children’s rights and interests. He highlighted that the comprehensive development of children is among the key priorities of the country’s state policy.

According to the President, Turkmenistan continues to create favorable conditions for young people to receive modern education and upbringing, develop their talents and abilities, and enjoy healthy and fulfilling lives. As part of these efforts, the government has been expanding educational and recreational infrastructure through the construction of modern kindergartens, schools, recreation centers, and parks in Ashgabat, Arkadag City, and other regions of the country.

The President also praised the role of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, describing it as an important institution for supporting vulnerable children and protecting their health.

Furthermore, Berdimuhamedov reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening social protection measures for mothers and children, supporting large families, and enhancing cooperation with international organizations on child welfare initiatives.

International Children’s Day is being celebrated across Turkmenistan with a variety of musical performances, cultural programs, and recreational activities in Ashgabat, Arkadag City, the Avaza National Tourist Zone, and other parts of the country.

Concluding his message, President Berdimuhamedov once again congratulated the nation’s children and citizens on the occasion and expressed his hope that the joyful laughter of happy children would always resonate throughout Turkmenistan.
