Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of State of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and member of the Cabinet of Ministers, Emir Turki bin Mohammed Al Saud, as reported by News Hub Consultants.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan places great importance on strengthening its traditionally friendly and fraternal interstate relations with Saudi Arabia. These relations are characterized by openness, mutual respect, and a high level of trust.
The two nations continue to cooperate successfully not only on a bilateral level but also within the frameworks of prominent international organizations, primarily the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
In discussions regarding the current state and future directions of bilateral trade and economic relations, both sides expressed satisfaction with the annual growth in mutual trade turnover. President Berdimuhamedov highlighted Turkmenistan’s focus on modernizing and diversifying its national economy while actively attracting foreign investments across all sectors as a key priority in the country’s economic strategy.
Ashgabat remains open to effective collaboration with international partners, with its comprehensive socio-economic programs creating favorable conditions for strengthening relationships in recent years.
As both Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia possess vast reserves of natural resources, this serves as a foundation for enhancing cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. In this regard, both parties acknowledged the significant potential for expanding joint efforts in the production, processing, and supply of oil and gas to global markets. They reaffirmed their commitment to deepening this mutually beneficial partnership in the years to come.
