Turkmenistan Enacts Amendments Defining Design of Jubilee Medal Honoring Magtymguly Pyragy’s 300th Anniversary

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Law “On Amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan ‘On the Establishment of the Jubilee Medal of Turkmenistan Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna’” has officially come into force, as reported in today’s edition of Neutral Turkmenistan.

The newly adopted amendments detail the official description of the medal bar associated with the state award, which commemorates the 300th anniversary of the celebrated Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy.

According to the revised legislation, “The bar of the Jubilee Medal of Turkmenistan Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna is made of a mixture of copper and nickel and covered with green enamel. In its center is a gilded silhouette of Magtymguly Fragi standing with a book in his hand in national dress. The outer edges of the bar are edged with gilding. The width of the medal bar is 24 mm and the height is 10 mm.”

Established in February of the previous year, the Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna medal is awarded to individuals for outstanding achievements in the fields of culture and the arts, academic research on the life and legacy of Magtymguly Fragi, and for the promotion of his works and the spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people.

The medal is part of a broader national effort to celebrate and preserve the cultural contributions of Magtymguly Fragi, whose poetry and philosophical writings remain foundational to Turkmen identity and heritage.
