135 Individuals Relocated to Khojaly and Shusha in Ongoing Resettlement Initiative

Khojaly, The Gulf Observer: On January 15, 28 families comprising 135 individuals were successfully relocated to the city of Khojaly, Ballija village in the Khojaly district, and the city of Shusha. The resettled families received the keys to their new homes in a ceremony attended by key officials.

Representatives from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, along with officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), participated in the handover ceremony.

This relocation marks a significant step in Azerbaijan’s efforts to resettle displaced individuals. To date, 68 families have been relocated to Ballija village in Khojaly district, while 52 families have been resettled in the city of Khojaly.

The resettlement process, aimed at ensuring sustainable living conditions and facilitating the return of displaced populations to their ancestral lands, will continue gradually through 2025. The initiative underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to rebuilding liberated areas and fostering stability and development in the region.
