Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The 5th ECO Business Forum kicked off in Tashkent on the eve of the 16th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
Business people of the member states, heads of trade and economic agencies, local and foreign experts are attending the high-level meeting.
Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ECO is rapidly developing, and work is being carried out on many significant projects to ensure economic stability.
Trade and economic development are considered the most important and favorable direction for the comprehensive integration of member countries. Therefore, it is planned to increase the global share in the same direction by doubling interregional trade.
This event is expected to become a platform for significant initiatives to liberalize and harmonize trade policy, reduce the cost of doing business, develop financial infrastructure and institutional capacity, and simplify trade procedures.
The Deputy Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization opened the event. Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov is delivering a speech at the moment.
