Oman Participates in 26th GCC Ministers of Environment Affairs Meeting in Doha
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by its Environment Authority, participated in the 26th meeting of GCC Ministers of Environment Affairs, held on Tuesday in Doha, Qatar. The high-level meeting brought together environment ministers from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to address pressing environmental challenges and regional cooperation.
Key topics of discussion included the GCC Supreme Council’s decision regarding non-customs restrictions related to environmental policies and regulations. The ministers also reviewed the strategic plan for environmental cooperation, focusing on initiatives to promote sustainable development and protect the region’s natural resources.
Oman’s delegation was led by Dr. Abdullah Ali Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, who contributed to the discussions aimed at enhancing regional environmental strategies and aligning them with international standards.
