Donald Trump Declines Further Debate with Kamala Harris Ahead of November Election
Washington, D.C., The Gulf Observer: Former President Donald Trump has announced that he will not participate in a third televised debate with Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the November presidential election. On Thursday, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to declare, “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” He referenced his previous debates, including his earlier June debate with President Joe Biden and the recent face-off with Harris on Tuesday.
The debate between Trump and Harris, hosted by ABC News, attracted a viewership of 67 million. Following the debate, Harris’s campaign immediately called for a second debate in October.
Trump initially indicated a willingness to appear on additional networks, stating, “I would do NBC and would do Fox, too,” the day after the debate. However, his latest statement, delivered in his characteristic all-caps style, confirms his decision to forgo further debates.
“Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate,” Trump wrote.
In response, Vice President Harris, speaking at a campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, urged Trump to reconsider and agree to another debate.
