Saudi and US Military Officials Explore Enhanced Partnership Strategies

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant General Fahad bin Hamad Al Salman, hosted a delegation from the United States armed forces in Riyadh on Sunday to discuss enhancing the military partnership between the two nations, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Monday.

The delegation, led by Vice Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper II, deputy chief of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), met with General Fahad at the Joint Forces Command headquarters. The discussions focused on bolstering defense cooperation and exploring ways to further strengthen the long-standing military ties between Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Senior Saudi officers, including Major General Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, deputy commander of the Joint Forces, were also present at the meeting, underscoring the importance of the ongoing strategic collaboration.

CENTCOM, one of the 11 unified commands of the US Department of Defense, oversees military operations across a broad region, including the Middle East, Northeast Africa, Central Asia, and parts of South Asia. The meeting highlights the continued commitment of both countries to maintaining security and stability in these critical regions.
